We offer both 1:1 personal training and group running sessions, so you can choose the type of support that works best for you. With our background in running, we can help you achieve your running goals—whether you’re training for a race, improving endurance, or just getting started. Additionally, we specialise in injury prehab and rehab. This means we focus on preventing injuries before they happen and rehabilitating safely when needed, so you can stay active and keep progressing without setbacks.

As a team that understands the challenges of balancing family, work, and personal goals, we’re especially passionate about supporting women—no matter their age—in taking time for themselves and investing in their well-being. Fitness isn’t just about physical change; it’s about developing a positive mindset and creating a lifestyle that supports your overall health and happiness.

In our private, air-conditioned gym with free parking, you’ll find a welcoming, non-judgemental space where you can work at your own pace. Get to know the dedicated trainers at Progressive Fitness Herts who are committed to helping you achieve your fitness goals. Wendy and Sarah are here to guide and motivate you on your fitness journey.

Hi, I'm Wendy, the founder of Progressive Fitness, a personal trainer, and a running coach. My passion for running started at the age of 12. As someone who has competed in running for many years, I understand the dedication it takes to achieve personal goals, and I aim to bring that same energy to my coaching and training.

I created Progressive Fitness with the vision of building a running group that is inclusive, encouraging, and fun—where strangers come together, support one another, and leave as friends. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned runner, our sessions offer a warm and welcoming space for everyone.

In addition to running coaching, I offer personalised 1:1 training in a private gym, specialising in strength training for runners. My sessions also focus on prehab and rehab techniques, where I work with you to address any imbalances or weaknesses that could lead to injury, and guide you through exercises to strengthen key muscles and improve mobility. If you're recovering from an injury, I provide tailored exercises to restore movement, rebuild strength, and get you back to running safely. I also offer fitness and nutrition coaching for women navigating menopause, helping them stay strong, energised, and healthy through all stages of life. My approach is always supportive and focused on helping you achieve your individual goals.

    Hi, I’m Sarah! I’ve been a client of Wendy’s for the past three years, and when she asked me to join Progressive Fitness as a run leader, I was beyond thrilled. It’s an honour to be part of the team and to help keep the spirit of running alive in our community.

    A bit about me—I've been running for quite some time and have a background as a run leader and triathlete. The joy of running has always been a huge part of my life, and I’m lucky enough to regularly participate in events like Parkrun, Ironman races, and ultra runs. There’s something so special about the sense of accomplishment that comes from pushing yourself, whether it’s crossing a finish line or simply hitting a new personal milestone.

    I’d love for you to join me on Fridays and Saturdays for some fun, encouraging runs. These aren’t just about speed or distance—they’re about community, support, and ensuring that nobody gets left behind. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, these sessions are all about enjoying the journey and cheering each other on.
